Last year, the Wharton Blockchain and Digital Asset Project collaborated with the World Economic Forum to release the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) Policy-Maker Toolkit. We are excited to announce a new collaboration with the Forum’s Crypto Impact and Sustainability Accelerator on decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). DAOs are an emerging form of group coordination based on blockchain technology. They attempt to disintermediate governance by making operational and financial information publicly viewable and empowering community members to propose, vote on, and enact changes. The DAO Project Series will assemble a network of experts to investigate the value of DAOs for a wide variety of use cases, and develop reports relevant to policy-makers, business leaders, and practitioners.
