BDAP hosts its inaugural Reg@Tech event in Brussels

On April 24, 2025, the Wharton BDAP hosted its inaugural Reg@Tech event in Brussels at the Breydel Building of the European Commission. This event was organized in collaboration with DG GROW and featured insightful contributions from the Commission’s Principal Economist, Joachim Schwerin, as well as participation from leading regulators, financial institutions, blockchain companies, and associations within the European ecosystem. This year, our discussions went beyond MiCA, focusing on three frontier themes shaping the European blockchain and digital assets landscape:

    • Stablecoin Business Models: Exploring designs and risks not addressed by MiCA.
    • Tokenized Real-World Assets: From asset tokenization to the evolution of on-chain financial infrastructure.
    • DAOs in Europe: Legal recognition, governance, and the road ahead for Decentralized Autonomous Organizations.
