GOVERNANCE

Governance is the means by which communities make and execute decisions, including both formal and informal mechanisms. Blockchain-based systems allow for and necessitate decentralized approaches to governance, raising questions touching on law, computer science, economics, political science, sociology, philosophy, and other disciplines. BDAP’s Governance Pillar addresses the questions that blockchain networks and decentralized applications pose in relation to governance, either on- or off-chain.

 Cryptogovernance Assessments and resources

Since its first cryptogovernance workshop in 2019, we have been engaged in questions related to governance in the context of blockchains. In private roundtables with industry experts, leading academics, technologists, entrepreneurs, and investors from around the world, BDAP is at the forefront of sharing knowledge and building a common understanding of governance in blockchain networks.
